Avana 100 contains 100mg of Avanafil as the active ingredient.  This drug works by preventing the action of phosphodiesterase-5 to help widen the blood vessel and improve blood flow to the penis. This action helps men get and keep an erection following sexual stimulation. A tablet of Avana will not produce an erection on its own.

Manufacturer

Avana is manufactured by Sunrise Remedies Pvt. Ltd

Dosage

The recommended starting dose of Avanafil is 100mg per day. A tablet must be taken orally, as needed, taken about 15 to 30 minutes before an anticipated sexual activity. Depending on a patient’s response and tolerance to the drug, the dose may be adjusted by a physician, either reduced to 50mg a day taken 30 minutes before sexual activity or increased to the maximum dose of 200mg a day taken 15 minutes before sexual activity. The prescribed dose must not exceed once a day.

While Avanafil belongs to the drug class called PDE5 inhibitors, it works much faster as compared to other belonging to the same class, such as Sildenafil, Vardenafil and Tadalafil. Avanafil works in about 15 to 30 minutes, as compared to the onset of 30 minutes to 60 minutes of other PDE5 inhibitors. This drug is not affected by high-fat meals, unlike Sildenafil and Vardenafil. A tablet of Avana may be taken with or without food.

Patients taking medications that may affect blood levels of Avanafil must not exceed a dose of 100mg in 24 hours.
